Butterick patterns are generally for older women, although there are some good patterns here. Lots of tops, skirts and shawls. The costume pattern section is ok as well.

McCall's patterns are a bit younger and more funky than those from Butterick. They're good basic patterns, but there are also some more extravagant dresses and such in the eveningwear section.

Vogue Patterns are for the die hard fashion fans. Easy patters as well as advanced designs. Lots of cutting edge designs and popular styles.

Simplicity patterns and fun and young. Lots of clothes for the under twenties. Strappy tops, partywear, it's here. There is a whole New Look range aimed at teenagers with trousers, funky tops, prom dresses and more. The costume section is huge, with patterns sorted to make finding the right one easy.
